I hear a lot of people asking really dumb questions, while thinking so highly of them for knowing the answers, for example “do you know the expansion of RSS?” I tell them, what is the point? The real question is “do you know what is RSS and the process behind it?” I understand that from your school days that knowing/memorizing expansions will get you scores, but in reality you will be just a man-boy for expecting people to know expansions rather than the technique behind it. An ardent user or a keen developer will have the knowledge or basic curiosity to search and find the expansion but beyond that simple curiosity, there is no real need for knowing the expansion of mp3, php, GNU, RSS, etc.,
