As u can see, it’s been too long since I’ve used the blog, but an event of this magnitude deserves mentioning, praises and criticism.
As this would spoil most surprise ‘m not doing a movie review, rather song review, I’d tell what the songs are like and if they’re placed appropriately.
Puthiya Manitha
As I expected this song is chipped and charred in the movie, using only 30 seconds of movie time, rest are in the opening credits. First the scientist Vasi, sings to the praise of hiss robot, then a metal skeleton responds, with the next stanza, with a little gap. Nothin interesting, though this is the entry song of the super star itself, but its so modest and it blends with the movie and rocks the audience.
Kadhal Anukkal
Super star immersed in his research doesn’t respond to his college girlfriend Rai (Sana). She gets mad after a while, but when he finishes Chitti, the robot, he goes to Sana to recuperate, but she wants to break up with him and returns all of his gifts and objects, he then asks her to give back the 29=512 kisses. Upon which they compromise and the song comes, it’s so smooth and comes and goes as a breeze, the audience just sit with their mouths watering as the scenes go by. It’s so awesome, yet so simple.
Irumbile Oru Irudhayam
My god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This song hit us fans like a hammer, I say, when aish kisses the robo rajni, the robo starts feeling love for her and the song starts. The moves are basically robo dance moves with so much glamour and style, it’s all shining, glimmering and Rajni looks like a 20 year old in this song, no matter how you slice it. Don’t believe me? See for yourself.
Chitti Dance show
Aish’s birthday and Vasi and Chitti are both competing to shower her with gifts and love. Aish asks Vasi to dance, Vasi accepts hesitantly, afraid that Chitti might cut in. But he does cut in. Dows a marvelous, mass dance show combining many many many dance cultures in a five minute span. It’s just pure mass, fans couldn’t stop shouting.
Kilimanjaro
This is probably the most expensive song with respect to the location and the place is awesome and so is the song. But even though its awesome it fades amongst other songs and looks like an ordinary song. The choreography is excellent, and this is the only song in which Rajni tries to dance a bit, leaving Chitti dance show. Its good, not awesome, it also slows down the pace of the superfast movie a bit.
Arima Arima
Probably the best song in the movie, wins with quite a margin. All you can see is Rajni, Rajni everywhere on the frame, wow its totally freaked me out. I’m running out of words for this and so I’m gonna cut short, if this song doesn’t blow you away, you are cattle not Homo sapiens.
See the movie, redeem yourself
